Joy is ever-changing, as is life.

The more I think back on my transition from high school to college, I remember excitement, fear, doubt, confidence, basically all emotions wrapped into a big ball of teenage hormones. Most importantly, I remember a peace in knowing that God would guide me down the correct path. Elliana reminded me a lot of myself as we were talking and laughing during her photoshoot. She's even thinking of attending my past college, Evangel University, come next fall. While talking with her a noticed an immense amount of joy, that can only be explained by the presence of God in her life. It's this reason that when I posted her previews on instagram I shared the verse "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalms 37:4

I am so honored and blessed to have encountered her as well as her family during this photoshoot. It was like a breath of fresh air to meet someone so adamant about Christ and actively showing kindness in the midst of today's society. I can't wait to see what Elliana does moving forward, because I know she is going to rock it! Scroll to see more of her pictures and the joy we captured!

P.S. Photos are supposed to be FUN!

For the second part of her session Elliana opted for a fun Fourth of July look since she happens to be a Fourth of July baby! That's right, my girl was born on THE FOURTH OF JULY! Is that not so cool?! No, just me, okay whatever. So to amp it up, her wonderful family brought along sparklers and boy did we have fun! Remember that senior pictures can be posed, they can be staged, but the real pictures are the ones where you let loose and show the camera who you really are! Check out the pictures below. ⬇️
